VCIS welcome students from early years learning (two years old) to upper-sixth form (Year 13).

Varee follow the English National Curriculum, and students study iGCSEs and A-Levels, which the Cambridge Assessment Board regulates. The majority of the teachers come from the UK, Ireland, the US, Australia and South Africa to ensure that native English speakers conduct the lessons. All teachers are supported by Thai teaching assistants who are on hand to offer all the help and assistance that the teachers and students require. Naturally, all lessons are conducted in English, with additional Thai, German and Mandarin lessons also available to students.

The school is primarily focused on ensuring that students get a well-balanced education, giving them the platform to flourish in later life. It includes helping them to develop intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically. Pupils are encouraged to use critical analysis in all subjects, and the standard of education provided is as good as anywhere in the city. Although the standard of education is to international standards, the school embraces Thai values and identity.

Varee Chiang Mai International School has consistently produced excellent exam results, with 100% of students having the option to continue onto university, with 80% choosing to study abroad. All classrooms include Activ-boards that aid interactive learning. Indeed, technology is a central feature of all lessons, and the school adopts a modern way of learning. It is something that they believe gives students the best opportunity to follow their chosen career path.

VCIS has modern state-of-the-art facilities, particularly in the science, performing arts and physical education departments. All students are encouraged to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Awards scheme and participate in the vast array of extracurricular activities available. The school employs trained counsellors and nurses to ensure that all students’ needs are met. Of course, should any students fall behind, they will be given all the help they need.
